Rev. Allen Mills was born on March 11, 1981 and raised right here in Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, he is the grandson of the late Rev. Ronald Flood who served as pastor here for over 30 years. Pastor Allen was raised by his grandparents Rev. Flood and wife Shirley, he lived in the church parsonage with his grandparents throughout his childhood. At the age of 14 he met his wife Donna, they were engaged during his senior year of high school. At age 20, he married his long time sweetheart, and they began their life together. They have 4 children: Cameron, Jordan, Logan, and Aubrey.

God called Pastor Allen to preach the gospel in 2006. At that time he enrolled in New Grace Bible College, where he spent 4 years, graduating with a degree in Theology. God led him to pastor his first church in 2009 after his second year of Bible College. He was the pastor of Avalon Baptist in Battleboro, N.C. for 4 years. He was then led to West Edgecombe Baptist in Rocky Mount, N.C., where he spent the next 2 years. It was at this time God began to turn his heart towards home, and in November of 2015, God opened the door for him to come back home. God has blessed abundantly since his return to GMBC, the church is experiencing a revival and tremendous growth. We give God all the glory for what He has done, and we can’t wait to see what God has planned for us in the future.
